Event and public Parking

Parking

Merrifield Park

Additional event parking has been made available South of the venue at Merrifield Park just a 250m walk to the race location.  The entrance to Merrifield Park, Kallaroo is via controlled gate access from Clareville Crescent (160m north of Bigola Ct). Vehicles can access from Northshore Drive via Northshore Ave, Aristride Ave then Clareville Cres.  The map below shows the location and access point.  If you intent to leave before the event is complete and roads have re-opened we strongly suggest you park at this venue as it can be accessed through the road closure period.    We recommend BOLT athletes who intend to leave early use this carpark!

Tom Simpson Park, Mullaloo Beach

Limited parking will be available next to the start at Tom Simpson Park, Mullaloo Beach (Northern end only).  As it is a popular location it is recommended to arrive early to ensure a spot and allow plenty of time for registration. Tom Simpson Park has parking for over 300 vehicles at the venue car park.  Parking and access will be available during the race period (between 6am and 10:30am)  via controlled access via Iluka Avenue, however this parking location will be full early and delays can be expected accessing this location.  Please do NOT use this location if you intend to leave early and before the roads open, as you will not be able to exit until all bikes are off the course and the roads are reopened.

Mullaloo Beach

Parking is available opposite the Dome and Mullaloo Surf Club.  This is on the South side of Tom Simpson Park and has in excess of 150 parking spots.  Please do NOT use this location if you intend to leave early and before the roads open, as you will not be able to exit until all bikes are off the course and the roads are reopened. It is an offence to access the roadway while road closures are in place!

Oceanside Promenade, Mullaloo Beach

There is roadside parking available on the Western side of Oceanside Promenade which is just a short walk to the race venue.   Please do NOT use this location if you intend to leave early and before the roads open, as you will not be able to exit until all bikes are off the course and the roads are reopened. It is an offence to access the roadway while road closures are in place!

Beach Front Carparks

Access to these car parks at the race venue and off Whitfords Ave will be available until 6.00am from both North and South entry points.  Be sure to let the Traffic Management team know that you are heading to the race venue for the event if you are running late.  No vehicles will be allowed through after 6:15am via Oceanside Promenade.  Also be aware that cars parked inside the race venue and other car parks off Oceanside Promenade and Whitfords Avenue will not be able to depart due to road closure until the final competitor has completed the bike course and roads have been re-opened.

Parking restrictions
Please be aware that all parking regulations enforced by the Council will apply throughout the course of the event so please refer to their parking signs for more details.

Spectator Viewing
Spectators will be able to obtain a great vantage point at Mullaloo Beach and Tom Simpson park as well at the Dome, Mullaoo Beach Hotel, Swell as both the bike and run course pass this location.  The retail stores and vendors at Mullaloo beach welcome our event and are sponsor of the event so please support them!

Carpark Closures
The following carparks will be closed from approximately 6am-10:30am on Sunday 24th March 2024.

  • Beachside carparks along Oceanside Promenade between Ocean Reef Road and Mullaloo Drive

  • Whitfords Nodes carpark (off Whitfords Ave)

  • Whitfords Nodes Central carpark (Animal Exercise Beach - off Whitfords Ave)

  • Pinnaroo Point carpark (John Wilkie Turn - off Whitfords Ave)

  • Whitford Beach carpark (off Northshore Drive).

Participants and supporters should take note of restrictions in regard to access to the beach via designated walkways and not enter dunes areas – please refer to and take note of the appropriate access signs.
